Automatically generating customer dimension values

Hello All,

I am wondering If I can automatically generate customer dimension value while I create customer card. For example I will set CUSTOMER dimension then create customer card and It will automatically generate dimension value for this particular customer.

Is it possible ?

Here is a method that doesn’t include development or appsource: joshanglesea.wordpress.com/.../

If the blog doesn’t appeal I would check appsource. A few ISV’s provide this. A case of finding the one with the best deal

Hello Josh,

First of all, I really appreciate the method that you share with me. Since, I am not expert at power automate I want to ask you something;

You mentioned about Custom API in the solution. Available APIs do not have capability of inserting dimension value(this is where i get error). Is it something that I can do by myself ?

Actually, my company upgraded to BC. Previously in NAV we had some customization where we could automatically create dimension value under CUSTOMER dimension according to the customer's number.

Hi

1) Looks like Josh is using V2 which is a standard API. In Power Automation in API you can select that.

2) App source options. You can install them from appsource
