A CRM user is unable to see the top ribbon buttons within CRM.

The user can not see any of these highlighted buttons. They also can't view quote details if they were to click on them and I am sure this issue occurs for other settings as well. I thought it was a security / user permission error but they have the same permissions I have on my account since they will be a user with the same access.

The roles we have assigned are:

  • DocumentsCorePack Security Role
  • mscrm-addons general security role
  • MSCRM-ADDONS.com AutoMerge
  • System Administrator

Also these settings are set under Administration / Client Access License

Access Mode: Read-Write
License Type: Professional

I tried to login as myself on their internet explorer and these same issues persisted on my machine. Then they logged onto CRM with my machine and everything works fine.

Is there an additional program/service that is keeping her CRM from working as intended?

We tried these steps:

  1. Exit the Microsoft CRM Web client and the Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Outlook.

2.                               Start Microsoft Internet Explorer.

3.                               Click Tools, and then click Internet Options

4.                               Click Delete Cookies, and then click OK

5.                               Click Delete Files, and then click OK.

Finally I also had them clear cookies and files in IE, close out of Outlook and IE, then restart IE to just load CRM and see if that would work.

Nothing has worked so far.

Thanks,

Robin

Try and reset your ribbon using Ribbon Workbench or take a look at this and try and reset it using a solution.

    Hello Robin,

You can get the missing button by using Ribbon Workbench Tool.

Refer this Blog for more details: community.dynamics.com/.../how-to-restore-a-hidden-button-on-the-crm-2013-command-bar

    Download Link: ribbonworkbench.uservoice.com/.../80806-download-ribbon-workbench-for-crm-2011-2013-2015

    Thanks.
