Disable Filters Pane at Global/App Level in Dynamics 365

Hi everyone,

We’re using Dynamics 365 (Sandbox environment), and we’d like to disable or hide the Filters pane at a global level across the system.

Currently, users can open the “Filters” panel (as shown in the attached screenshot) in views, which allows filtering by Owner, Modified On, Created On, etc. We want to restrict or disable this option entirely.

Is there a supported way to:

  • Disable the Filters pane globally (through customization, settings, or system-level configuration)?

  • Or control visibility of the Filter button (e.g., via app designer or role-based access)?

  •

Any guidance, supported methods, or workarounds would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Which app are you using? The filter pane looks a bit different.

I am not aware of a supported way to hide the filter option. You can certainly adjust security to prevent users from creating Personal Views, but I don't think it stops them from filtering a table they have access to.

Even if you are hiding the pane, I don't think there is going to be any way to remove the ability for users to filter directly on a column in the view itself.

    Hello @Tom_Gioielli,

I am using a model-driven app, and when I search globally, the filter pane appears (as shown in the image below).

I would like to hide this filter pane.

Any guidance, supported methods, or workarounds would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

Ah, it's in the global search. I missed that.

I'm not aware of any way to remove the filter options in the Global Search pane, or any supported configuration that allows you to modify that experience.
