Hi,

Our customer wants to import Payroll file to table 81 Financial journal.

I have set up a Data exchange definition. But Shortcut dimensjon 3+ don't have an own field in table 81. Is it still possible to import these? How to set it up?

Brita

    Hello,

We do have a very old blog posting. It may get you started:

    Thanks.

Thank you for your quick reply! But I don't think additional shortcut dimension was mentioned here? Else, the definition is already set up. Do we have to develop a solution for importing additional shortcut dimension to table 81?

Hello Brita - Have you tried a Configuration Worksheet? With the Configuration Worksheet there is an option check box called Dimensions as Columns.  Below is the tooltip from that option field:

Specifies whether the configuration includes dimensions as columns. When you select the Dimensions as Columns check box, the dimensions are included in the Excel worksheet that you create for configuration. In order to select this check box, you must include the Default Dimension and Dimension Value tables in the configuration package.

Let us know if you have any questions.

    Hi, Andy

    Thank you for your reply!

I have set up an Data Exchange Definition, but you suggest to use Configuration Package instead?

It is quite a lot work to every month convert a csv-file into Excel and import it as a Configuration Package?

Is there no way to import additional shortcut dimensions to a journal by a Data Exchange Definition? In Norwegian version we have a setup for payroll definition in General Ledger Setup.

Hello Brita - This is the only way I have found to expose those dimensions.  Unless someone in the community has another way?
