Can financial inventory of the storage dimension group for the inventory value report be changed afterwards?

Hi,

We did not check all fields in the financial inventory on the storage dimension group. Can we still turn it on and thus have move granularity (levels) in the inventory value report? We want to report on warehouse as well.

    Hi Ulti001,

    This is not supported. I have not tried if it would be possible to change the Storage dimension group when there is no on-hand or open transactions for an item.

    Yo may try to create new storage dimension group and assign it to this item, please refer to this blog article

    UPDATE:

    It is possible to do this only in R2 and lower versions. You need to untick "Activate closing of non financial transfer" tick box in Inventory parameters. Unfortunately this parameter was removed in R3 and now it is not possible to change storage dimension group if financial dimensions are different. R3 supports only physical dimension change now.
