Batch marked for posting

I have a batch i was in the middle of posting when the computer locked up. When i try to select the batch to post, it says " This batch has been marked for posting by another user". I am the user that is trying to post and was in the middle of posting. Is there a way to open it up so i can finish posting?

    RE: Batch marked for posting

I have a similar situation and am looking for the cause of the mysterious "Mark".

Only 1 AP person posting invoices. When she finishes the batch and goes to Batch Entry to post it the batch is 'not available marked for posting  by another user'. There are no other users. How could the batch get marked?

The batch is not hung in posting. If she goes to series posting she can unmark and post from the batches screen or she can leave the batch as marked an post from the series post screen.  Not a hung batch.

Looking for the cause of the mysterious Mark.  I reviewed the Dynamics.set file looking for add-on software (like MC2) which can automatically mark batches and or automate posting: not there.

    Any thoughts?

    Of course there is a way to get this solved without exiting all users, Mr. David illustrates how on the link below;

Is there anyway to fix the problem without users logging off?  it might be a bit annoying when we are talking about hundred of users logging off just to fix a single error for a single user.  thanks

Yes i did clear that one batch that was marked for posting. We are using your blog for our other issues we had with batches being stuck. You guys are great !!! Thanks so much for all the feedback.

Hi, very sorry about that. (a bit quick with the old cut and paste when I was writing the post!!!)

Remove the '* FROM'  from the query so it looks like 'DELETE DYNAMICS..ACTIVITY'

Do the same with the other four lines. The query should run fine.

However, did you not resolve the issue by unticking the 'marked to post' option in GP? Or did this not resolve? If it didn't, then the queries in the blog post should do the trick.

    Best regards,

When i try and run the delete part of the script, i receive the message "invalid syntax '*' in line 1". What is my next step?

You can always relieve this flag eiher:

    •  Series Post window of the solution series where this batch was created, or
    •  Master Posting window

Unmark the batch with concern from any of the two windows mentioned above.

You should be fine for using (calling, posting) this batch for now.

    Cheers,

    Dencio
