Can we import the default solution as a managed solution?
I tried doing it but it did not give me an option to select if the default solution that you want to export should be of managed or unmanaged type?
It is an interview question i recently faced and please dont ask me in what scenario do u want to export a managed solution.

you cannot export the default solution as managed. Since managed solution is like layer or a "box" of some components. Now the default solution has almost everythin which is there in the org( even org specific) - hence you cant do that.
