Has RMS 2.0 been upgraded to allow it to read and process credit card chips as opposed to the old credit card swipe? If so, please describe what software and hardware is needed.

As fas as I know, the integration with a Chip&Pin readers is not out of the box with RMS. You have to contact your RMS Partner for a Payment Gateway add-on for this and even if they have such an add-on, they will probably have to adapt it to the hardware (Chip&Pin readers) you want to use (probably offered by the bank or a 3rd party Payment Gateway company...
Sa basically You need two components, add-on software (an DLL for example, that "hooks" up with RMS POS in the moment the cashier tender an transaction with specific Tender Type) and the Chip&Pin reader hardware... I've done this for Ingenico C&P readers, for the Spanish market...

Thanks Antonijo, we used to sell RMS but only have one client left still using it and of course they want to read credit card swipes. They are going to try to go with a standalone VeriFone unit.
