Hello,

If there are multiple reports created but none are assigned as default to the company, which report will the system print?

For example, I have 6 versions of the POP Purchase Order Form that are in the Template maintenance window but none of them are assigned as default to the company.

Will it take the most recent? If yes, based on the creation of the modification date?

I realized after posting this that you were using the Modified Report, so perhaps you needed to select the Original.

You've probably sorted this out by now. However, if I had to guess, I'd say that you have both an original and a modified Purchase Order report in Report Writer. If so, there would actually be two Purchase Order reports available to modify using Word Templates as well. They should show like this in the drop-down:

POP Purchase Order Blank Form (Original)

POP Purchase Order Blank Form (Modified) - you probably need to choose this one

If the one that you show here with multiple versions doesn't have any assigned versions, choose the other from the drop-down (click on More Reports if you don't see it), and check for assigned versions there.

I've seen the error message that you're referring to when the Alternate/Modified reports is set to use the modified version of the report, but the Word Template is still set to use the original version. It creates a mis-match.

If none of them is set as default template, then add any small changes(Sample Text, change color, logo, etc) in your word templates starting from first to last on the above attached screen shot and print the report to see which template is printing on the report.

Look at the assign tab and see which report is set as the default. This would be the report that is being pointed to the report writer Purchase Order Blank Form

In fact, it is printing...that is why I am confused here.

There are multiple reports affected to the company but none of them are set as default...and the Word Template is still printing. See below :

In this case, which report is printing in the Word format??

If your are not set any templates as default, while printing reports to templates in GP, it won't use any saved templates. Reports are print in your default web browser with HTML format until you assign a default template for those reports.
