The users are calling this the 'Configurator', but so far as I found, they are not using the 'Product Builder' tab in any way.
Here are the steps they told me they are taking:
Create a new Sales order and a new Sales Order Line>Enter the letter 'L' in the 'Item number field'>click on 'Functions'>click on 'Configure line'.
Enter the specific configuration for the item (i.e. Length, Width, etc.), then click 'Ok'
I followed the steps using the exact item configuration on both items, but only one of the 'Item IDs (Item numbers)' populates, so I also don't know why it always picks one over the other.
There definitely are duplicate 'Item names' for different item numbers, but I cannot find any differences in any two 'Item IDs' with the same 'Item name'.
When I made changes to any of the specifics in the configuration, I get a different 'Item ID' and different 'Item name'.
I think the users may be doing something different in their process that results in a duplicate 'Item name', but so far I haven't found out how.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
