i am using the sleep method in x++ batch job, but i dont think its working

Dear Judy,
the idea is to Pause the batch job during execution and not to delay the startup, while executing i need the batch to pause/Sleep for certain time and then continue operating

Assuming your batch job is running as a true batch job in a different thread, the sleep function would work well.
Have you tried increasing the sleep delay and see if this slows down the startup even more?
