Reserving stock on lines. Can you see what's been reserved?

I have sales orders which have multiple lines. We issue the orders when all lines are in stock so I reserve the stock on each line manually and release to Warehouse once all lines are reserved.

Is there a field that you can add to the lines so that I can see which lines have stock reserved, or do you need to go into 'Stock' 'Reservation' on each line to see if the stock has been reserved?

Or is there any other way to see which lines have stock reserved to save time with going into each individual line to see if the stock has been reserved?

Hi,

Unfortunately, there is no direct field that you can simply add to the sales order lines form to show the status and quantity of reservation.

Alternatively, you can choose to select “Automatic Reservation”. This can be done from the sales order line details, or you can change the settings in Inventory Management Parameters section.

Doing this will resolve at least one of your issues that whenever Inventory gets restocked the Sales Order Lines will automatically reserve the item quantity, fully or partially as per the availability. Hence, you will not have to individually open the Reservation section of each line to reserve that item.

To streamline your process and avoid manually checking each line, you can use the Reservation Status field to get a quick overview of which lines have stock reserved.

You might use the screen 'Release sales orders to warehouse'

The column 'Quantity available to release' shows the reserved quantity.
