Hello there,

I'm getting this error when  tried to click the print preview button in any ROI.

 Environment: Solomon 2011

System type : 32 bit OS windows 7

Does anybody knows why it's happening.

Ideas appreciated!!

Thanks,

Ajit Kannan

if the tmp and temp variables are configured for a folder the SL user does not have read/write privileges, this error occurs. I had a client who mapped one of the two variables to C:\Windows\Temp.

Another correction for this issue is to drop and then recreate the Indexes on the RptRuntime tables.

    Hello Carolyn Kolpien, Butch Adams

It seems u2lsol4.dll was missing in the particular path C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics\SL\Applications\WRKSTN\Windows\Crystal. This would cause the issue in that ROI. Now it’s working fine After Register the u21so14.dll.

    Thanks for your reply..

I second the "Windows Default Printer" solution. It's the only way to get a stable report printing experience.

    Hello Ajit,

You might have an invalid printer specified in Microsoft Dynamics SL Printer Options. Open Printer Options (98.220.00) and specify a valid printer.

In a Terminal Server or Citrix environment, every time that you log on, the name of the printer may change slightly. For example, the printer name may end with "TCP#10" one time and "TCP#13" the next time that you log on. Even though these may be the same physical printer, Microsoft Dynamics SL sees them as separate printers. In this scenario, we recommend that you instead select "Use Windows Default printer" in the Printer Options (98.220.00) screen so that Microsoft Dynamics SL will not store the printer name.

Let me know if this resolves the issue.
