CRM External Access

Hey All

I asked this in the Microsoft Forum but have had no joy

I am getting an issue when external users try to access our CRM, they browse the external URL that we have for it, it offers the ADFS 3.0 login as expected, however, once logged in a get a 404 message on the page, if I refresh the page it successfully loads.

I have changed the discovery web services domain to be the external link and the external link to the discovery web services domain, if I browse the discovery web services domain url I get straight in but no matter what is put into the external URL I don't get redirected back from ADFS, I have even tried using a different port on the external link.

Any thoughts?

Can you identify which url gives the 404 ? Once you login to ADFS, it will send a redirect back to the client. It could be either an ADFS url or a CRM url that gives the 404, and knowing which may help resolve the issue. A tool like Fiddler may help.

One possible cause of a 404 is if you don't specify the organisation name in the original request, and if the user's default organisation (the one that they were first created in) no longer exists

    Hey,

Sorry I have had to use another account to login with as my other one keeps redirecting me to create user...

Anyway, I have specified the endpoint as the organisation name and I still get the same thing so my url for my end point is this:

    https://customer.domainname.com.au/organisation

Now the name of my organisation is the same as the domain name does that cause any issues?

As for the page that is giving me the 404 it is definitely the ADFS site, however, the URL is specified as the endpoint, so when I log in to ADFS 3.0 I get in the url the address specified above, if I press F5 I stay in on the 404 page, if I go to the browser and just press go or enter on the address it takes me to crm, so it is giving me an authentication token.

I had to rename the company as this has never worked and our original organisation name was CRM which is our internal URL of CRM.domainname.com.au and I read an article that it wont work if the organisation name is the same as the URL

    Hi

Just to add further to this, i have created a test user in the system and the same thing happens to them, not sure if that debunks your idea of the users not being attributed to an organisation that exists anymore then that might help us
