GP AD Users - from different Domains

Hi all,

I am setting up users to access GP web client (GP 2015). The users, however belong to Domain B, and the installation is on Domain A. A trust integration has been performed between these two domains. In GP user setup, I am able to look up the users (from Domain B), but the users are not getting succefully attached to the current user. Any ideas would be appreciated.

There could be several things causing this problem.

On the install you were ask to give the name of the AD Group for Web Client Users, your users regardless of what domain they belong to must be in "a member of" the same domain and AD group you listed in the install.

Another thing that could give you problems is the type of group you selected in AD when you created the AD Groups.

Hi John,

Thanks for the response. Kindly elaborate on what you mean by 'in a member of the same domain'. We created an AD security group from Domain B, and via trust integration we were able to add members of Domain A and Domain B to that group.

The AD group was a security group. I also did try to use local computer groups to no avail.

My understanding is the Users need to be in the same domain. You can not use Domain Trusts.
