Formula Column restrictions (email format) that Calculated Columns does not have

Posted on by 40
Hello,

I was trying to create a calculated column and a message appear stating that it is going to be discontinued.

my goal is to set a a contacts information on a work order.
this is so a guest end user on the mobile app, does not need the read access to our contact table.
when attempting to use the formula data type as suggested, I found that email formats are not supported.

I am still able to create the calculated field with an email format currently but, how will I be able to do this going forward?

    Hi,

You can try using a normal single line text field to receive the value of the email field and then referencing this text field in Formula.
