Functional regression test automation tool for Dynamics AX 2012

Hello All,

My question is exactly similar to below one:

I'm looking for the complete solution to do automation testing of dynamics AX 2012 (this is on priority) and AX 2016 applications.

By solution, I mean I need help on below points:

1. Demo AX application: Is there any small AX application which I can download for free and explore AX controls? Or any information on how easy/difficult is to identify elements of the AX application.

2. Approach: If somebody has already done AX automation testing, It would be great if they can provide little bit insights on their framework, approach they took, how they maintained the data to be input in the forms

3. Tools: I have identified certain tools for AX Automation

a. Executive Automats

b. AXeptance

c. Renorax

I would like to know if anyone has worked on them, what were the challenges, their cost, and their usefulness. Is Return on Investment worth using any one such .

4. Reference to any Blog/Articles/documentation

Also, any suggestions or tips around approach and tools regarding AX automated functional regression testing is welcome.

The company I work for (disclosure) has a test automation tool called Rapise that has special extensions built in for the various Microsoft Dynamics products:

Dynamics 365 for Operations (AX7) - https://www.inflectra.com/Rapise/Technologies/Dynamics-365.aspx

One of our users did a comparison between Rapise and some other tools mentioned here (https://www.inflectra.com/Ideas/Whitepaper/Automated-Testing-Of-Dynamics-AX.aspx). The cost for Rapise is relatively low and there is no charge for the playback engine.

It is also designed to create tests that are maintainable and understandable by business users (vs. a bunch of code that has to written by programmers):
