Hi Community,
For Exchange Rates, is there a faster way to update daily exchange rates in Navision, if you want to get rates which are past years dates?
Thank you!

Josh,
You can setup the Exchange Service to places like Floatrate.com or Oanda. I am attaching my handout on setup for Floatrate. The Service will update the Exchange Rate daily or based on the Job Queue intervals.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Steve
Hi Zhu,
May I ask if you have the configuration package for currency which you can provide?
Or can you advise how can I create it?
Thank you!
Hi Dirk,
So far I have only tried manually and individually insert the daily exchange dates of the past using my local exchange rates.
You are right, even if I use the exchange rate service, I will only get today's date and not yester-dates.
Thank you.
Hi, for Automate Currency Exchange Rate Updates, hope the following will help.
If you need past exchange rates, they can be found in Currency Exchange Rates, if they have been entered in the NAV.
If not, you can connect to an external website to view it directly, or download its data and query it locally.
For example, https://www.investing.com/currencies/eur-usd-historical-data
In addition, if you want to import past exchange rates into the system, you can choose to use the Configuration Package.
Hope this also helps.
Thanks.
ZHU
Hi Josh,
Please use the below links how to use online service for exchange rate.
docs.microsoft.com/.../finance-how-update-currencies
www.innovia.com/.../how-automate-currency-exchange-rate-updates-business-central-nav
Hope it will help you.
Hi Josh,
You can use the Exchange rate service to the update the daily exchange rate, and for the past Years rate you can use configuration package as Dirk said.
Thanks
Hi,
What did you try so far?
I guess using the exchange rate service you only get the rates as per today, right?
If you have the rates from the past years in some kind of table (and bring this into Excel) ... can you use the Configuration Package functionality to import the past years rates ?
