cannot create new roles , new privileges

Dear all

I would like to create new roles, new privileges, but New as well as Delete buttons of Security roles and Security Privileges forms are disabled( light grey color and cannot click)

Can you please tell me why that is happened?

Thank you so much for your advices.

Version control is enable and I checked with developers that it is okay to off version control of real environment and ther is no problem to off it .

So, the problem is solved and I can create new roles after version control is off.

Hi Pooh,

Please check if version control is enabled on the server.

1. Go to Windows > New Development workspace.

2. In the development window that opens up, go to Version control parameters.

3. In the form, check if the status is enabled.

In case this is enabled, please check with your developer. Disabling this should allow you to edit the roles and securities.

The user I am using is assinged "System Administrator" role and I still can't create new roles.

Is this related with approve function and something like that?

What is the needed right to create new roles?

I am the System Administrator and my administrator user is assinged two roles System Administrator and System user.

Is there any other right or authority to create new roles ?

Hi Berthil,

I have already replace the user data( replace MicrosoftDynamicsAX database) , Is it the one you mean to do?

Nothing changed after I replaced it.
