Hi 

How can i get a customized nav 2009 to be the same on other computers when i install. do i need to go one by one and edit the factboxes, the fields, and everything else or i can copy the setting to each computer. please help

     There are two levels of "customization". Profile settings and "user customization". Settings for profiles are saved in table and are loaded each time from DB. These settings are shared for all users which are linked with selected profile and this settings is created by running the RTC with /configure option (use /? to see all parameters of the RTC client executable). User settings are saved in the user profile, thus are used only for the selected user. If the profile is set in a way that regardless where the user logs in, he have same profile, the settings will be same too (it is named Roaming user profile).

     It means, if you want to have same settings for some group of people, use the profile for that.

    so basiccaly...if i use the confirgure option and i set the role profile the way i want then everyone in that profile will see exact same settings.  or if i set a profile in my pc, which is saved in the user profile? which is where located? then i can copy and paste that profile file to the other pcs?

     

    one other question my friend. i backed up my new dataabse that i was working with and i tried to load it to another computer. it is saying invalid username and password. what do i do. ?
