Single Sign On for Customer records

Hi All,

We have customers  who are using some of our external applications. Now we want to integrate these external applications with the CRM. Once we integrate, we want to implement Single Sign on feature in CRM. The customer whose record is available in CRM will be able to login once and then will be able to access other external applications.

Please let me know the solution for the same.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Subh

    Subh,

Where is their CRM Online hosted? OSDP? Partner?

If OSDP or OCP, here are the steps to configure Single Sign-On:

    Hi Gus,

Thanks for replying. but I'm not looking for applying SSO on user front. I know that can be done as mentioned on the above links. The scenario is something like this. The customer records in my contact form in CRM are also using some of my external systems. So how can I authenticate them from CRM and  can make them accessible to all external systems on a single sign on which has been authenticated by my CRM system.

What other external applications are you referring to? From what I am understanding, you are trying to use a single sign-on feature by essentially logging into CRM and this will allow you to be logged into any other applications in your environment?

    Hi Aaron,

Thanks for replying. As external applications, I'm referring to few community sites and few sports programs where contacts are accessible. the purpose is to store username as email and password in CRM and customer will have one credentials for all the external applications. so the authentication will be handled from CRM.

Please let me know if you can help me on this.

    Regards,

    Subh

Thanks Subh. This is not something that could be done through CRM. This would be a better question to post to the AD FS forums to see if they have a way they could authenticate to multiple applications to provide SSO.
