Connector for CRM queries

Hi, we have a client who is currently using the following:

a. NAV 2009 R2

b. CRM Online (soon to be upgraded to Dynamics 365)

Our client wants to integrate quotes, sales orders and invoices using CRM Connector for NAV (3.4.304.1). I understand we can use the standard OTB maps for Currency, UOM, Salesperson, Items, Resources, customers, contacts all orders  and invoices.

However, my queries are:

a. What is the feasibility of using the connector to integrate quotes? i.e. NAV Quotes to Quotes in CRM

b. Secondly, these quotes have lines which do not have items on them but have been customized in NAV  to create lines without an item code to enter text in the Description field. The same will hold true for order and invoices also. What is the feasibility of integrating such lines?

c. Do order or invoice lines which have Item Type as Item Charges or GL Account, synchronize to CRM?

Any experience with the above scenarios and inputs thereof are highly appreciated. Thanks.

    RE: Connector for CRM queries

One more point, Microsoft Dynamics CRM version 2016 is the last major version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM supported by Connector for Microsoft Dynamics.

    Have a look here:

    mbs.microsoft.com/.../MSDY_ConnectorforMicrosoftDynamics

So it sounds like using this connector is not supported.

    thanks

    RE: Connector for CRM queries

I don't think the CRM Connector for Nave would work with these 2 versions.

    According to this article:

    https://community.dynamics.com/nav/b/dynamicsnavconnector/archive/2016/04/08/connector-for-microsoft-dynamics-support-for-microsoft-dynamics-crm-beyond-dynamics-crm-version-2016

This connector would not work. You might want to look at other options for integration such as Scribe or something similar.

Finally, if you were to consider an upgrade of Dynamics Nav 2009 to Nav 2017, then you can achieve most of your requirements easily using the OOB integration solution:

    https://community.dynamics.com/nav/b/tharangacnavblog/archive/2017/01/30/integrate-dynamics-nav-2017-with-dynamics-crm-online

Hope this helps! If you found my response helpful, please mark "yes" to confirm it helped you.
