While importing a solution (On top of an existing solution) in CRM 2015 i'm getting the below error:
Column name 'processid' in table 'ActivityPointerBase' is specified more than once.
Kindly advise if you have a solution

This is one of those tricky situations where for whatever reason you have inconsistencies between your environments due to upgrades or managed solution imports.
I think the only way forwards will be to remove the processid attribute from your solution customizations.xml - but this is unsupported so it may be better to contact Microsoft support and ask them for the 'supported' way forwards.
I did not do any modification on the entity that is giving error, isn't there a supported way to fix this ?
I tried to remove the processid field from the customizations.xml and still it didn't work
I recommend that you contact Microsoft support since they are very used to dealing with these kind of issues.
it turned out there's a bug in CRM when you enable business process for an entity in DEV and try to import on UAT and that same Entity is not enabled for business process this issue will occur
