Normally I create original connection and data source to BC cloud using PBI Desktop application, and then publish so the data source is available on cloud designer to create reports. Is there a way to directly connect to BC cloud without ever downloading PBI desktop, meaning only using power BI cloud designer - Data Visualization | Microsoft Power BI
Some of the users have Apple Macs and desktop is not supported

But if you want to create your own custom report, you HAVE to use Power BI Desktop. Why would you not use it?
