how to perform foreign currency revaluation for cash and bank management.

when using General Ledger Foreign Currency Revaluation the revaluation transactions will be created with type (Ledger) for the bank accounts. This will lead to a mismatch between the Ledger bank account total and the Subledger bank account total for the company currency amounts

Yes you're correct.

But solution from MS is that you should not revaluate the main accounts in GL. As there is no revaluation function in cash and bank management.

The Ledger level revaluation function can be used only for direct ledger entries. If you have attached the ledger accounts to some other sub ledger masters (vendor / customers) run the revaluation from there

Sorry but want do you mean ?

I have agreed with you that there is no function in the bank module for this. And issue around balance between bank module and GL main accounts it "resolved" by not having these main accounts revaluated.

Hi Faisal,

There is a revaluation in this module available as Russian and Polish localization.

When the country of the legal entity is one of these two, the revaluation is accessible in the Bank and Cash management module.

Some AOT objects like menu items and fields do have a property CountryRegionCodes filled with e.g. the country RU. It is possible to remove these, so this option will be available for all countries.

Note that the Russian localization has a lot of additional functionality. You have to be careful which objects belongs to this feature.

Personally I wonder why this feature is built for two countries only.

It has been initially a legal requirement in Russia, that is why revaluation for cash and bank is used in Russian localization as obligatory function and works fine. Initially, Microsoft in Russia has paid lot of attention to localization issues together with selected partners, in order to follow local requirements, and developed quite a huge additions and modifications; Russia is one of the most difficult officially localized countries (top three, to my mind), thus many features, related to financial module, can be taken from that layer.
