RMS HQ Recovery

I have a customer I am trying to assist in recovering their RMS HQ database. They seemed to have forgotten to do a backup for 3 months and the hard drive crashed in their system. What do i need to do or watch for in order to get this 3 month old database up to date with all the items and accounts that have been added to the system?

    Tyler,

    Try creating a 401 backdated to a minute before that last connection was made.

    I hope you have fixed their backup issue too.  All of our client's RMS databases are backed up every hour. The entire drive is backed up daliy or weekly with incrementals every hour to a seperate hard drive, which is then sent to the cloud..  If the backups don't work, we are emailed, which goes to a special email account, which in turn sends a text message to our phones.

    One can never have too many backups!!

    The bak file is 3 months old and is missing data. Sales data uploads automatically when it syncs. but customers and items added in between my backup and now aren't there, and I can't seem to figure out how to get it back up to date.

    im not exactly sure what you are referring to, i have never had to back up a location from the HQ database, i have however restored plenty of locations from .bak files for the locations local db, you need to create a database in store ops administrator then just select the correct .bak file when prompted for a data source

    Its a database backup from 3 months ago from the HQ.

    full system backup or just restoring the 3month old RMS database
