DHL shipping Software Intergration

Standard AX alledgedly intergrates with both UPS and FED-X shipping software. My company uses DHL more than we use FED-X. Does any one know if AX will intergate with DHL's shipping software?

    The shipping functionality for DAX 2009 was written with 2 main goals in mind:

    1. Create a framework allowing integration between DAX and 3-rd party shipping software packages

    2. Provide an integration solution for UPS, FedEx and Clippership (developed by Kewill)

    As far as I know, Microsoft has no plans to provide a complete interation for DHL at the moment.

    You have two options to integrate DAX with DHL:

    Firstly, DAX 2009 comes with a shipping integration framework: when you post a packing slip, it populates the Shipping request table and the DHL software can pick up the shipment information from it, saving you the time to re-enter the information in the DHL software. When DHL has processed the shipment, DAX has a table waiting to be populated with the resulting data - actual shipping charges, tracking numbers, package weight, etc. The documentation for the framework on the DAX side is available from Microsoft. You will need to get internal or external technical people to write the code to pass the data back and forth between DAX and DHL. Depending on the DHL tools, the shipping software could work as a black box (all operations are done in DAX, DHL just processes the received data and sends back the results) or as a standalone programme (packing is done in DAX, then the user opens the DHL software, types in the Packing slip number and DHL pulls the shipment data from DAX).

    Alternatively, you can buy a multi-carrier shipping solution which integrates to DHL, FedEx, UPS, etc. Clippership is such a solution and it is already integrated with DAX. We can provide you with integration solution for both Kewill's products - Clippership and Flagship.

    Our company NMB Solutions actually wrote the original code for the DAX shipping solution and we are offering extended shipping functionality as an add-on package. We operate out of Canada but most of our shipping customers are in the USA. If you need any additional information, please let me know and I will put you in contact with the architect of the shipping solution.
