Hi all,
As the subject mentions, we are experiencing sporadic very slow performance using D365 CRM Customer Engagement v9 online. After initial support ticket has been opened, Microsoft is claiming it is because we have a very small number of users and therefore when we login (for instance), it doesn't know which server to use and one time may use serverA and later in the day use serverB. Each time we use a different server, there are a lot of cache files that need to be downloaded. This sometimes takes 80 seconds or so just to login and have the home page display. Microsoft claims that as we add more users, the servers "will learn" which server to direct us too and performance will increase. By using Fiddler trace logs I can see where when we do hit the same server as the previous login, our login time is between 3-6 seconds which is perfectly acceptable. My question is this: Has anyone else experienced this with a small number of users (5 users, only 2 logging in every day) and then saw an increase in login as their user-base grew? We are on an old CRM 4.0 instance now and wanting to migrate to the new version, but not if we cannot get the performance we need out of it. Eventually, we would be over 500 users. I would be interested very much in hearing anyone who had personal experience with a similar situation. I cannot imagine that large companies with a great number of users are experiencing the same performance issues as we are.
PS - we do have some small customizations, but nothing until you get into Accounts which no one is using as their startup page.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can respond with similar experiences.
