Difference between BOM Qty and Picking List Proposed Quantity...

Hi,

There is difference between BOM Quantity and Picking List Proposed Quantity in Production.

Example: To Manufacture A1=1, RM A=152 is required as per BOM.

But when I run Production Order for A1 quantity 3 RM A=152*3=456 should come, but in Picking List Proposed quantity shows 501 and consumption quantity also shows 501.

Can anybody help me whey the difference.

Thanks

Scrap allowance e.g. for set up, and pack size rounding are two possible reasons.

    Hi,

The proposed required quantity is 501 and available On-Hand stock 472.

The stock is going to come after 3 month.  The production order is urgent and important to post.

What is the best way to post this Picking List and RAF then End Production Order.

Return any component stock not consumed.

Make sure that material component consumption is updated, click the "End" check box on the last picking list of each line , then RAF and select "End Job".

    see for example: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa497003.aspx
