Ledger settlements - transactions are not matching to settle

Hi Team,
 
we have 2 bank accounts for deposit and disbursement and ledger accounts mapped accordingly(both B/S accounts) ,the same accounts added to ledger settlements.
 
when we try to perform ledger settlements, we don't see knocking off each other to settle/clear. i tried under ledger settlements.
i have enabled ledger settlements under GL parameters.
 
please suggest if anything to setup to settle automatically or have debit/credit transactions to settle manually.

    Please refer to this article:
     
    It says
    "When the Awareness between ledger settlement and year-end close feature is enabled, ledger settlement must be done for transactions in a single main account and the main account is a required filter."
     
    My question is why the ledger settlement is required in case of bank account GLs, as generally we do bank reconciliation only.
