My users are not seeing the User Preference option on their screen under the Home item.

They have access to DefaultUser ....

I cannot locate where to give them the ability to have this...

Thanks.

    Hi Michael,

I'd love to confirm that... unfortunately I currently don't have a valid license for the Self-Service user... waiting on partner and MS to resolve my license transition issues...

A regular user has access to the 'User Preferences' thru the web.

From what I could check with the GP Power Tools in the security profiler, is that the 'User Preferences' form is associated with the DEFAULTUSER forms/reports security, which includes pretty much all the security roles in GP, including the newly added ESSxxxx* roles. So if that form doesn't work in the Web Client, it must be an issue related to the WC and/or something special with that form.

Did you checked if the ESS user can access the form when login into the full GP client ?

We have the same issue, Web Client only users do not have the User Preferences option available in the Navigation Pane.  Our work-around has been to add the option to their Quick Links section of their Home Page. While it was encouraging to find this post and know we are not the only users having this experience, I would be interested to hear if/when Microsoft resolves this issue.
