Hello Experts,
We are currently on D365 F&O version 10.0.48 and are using the Engineering Change Management process to create Released Products with product variants based on Style and multiple Engineering Versions.
We have some products that contain approximately 1,000 Engineering Versions, where each Engineering Version has a corresponding product variant (Style) and BOM. When we run the BOM Cost Roll-Up for Standard Cost for these products, the price calculation continues running indefinitely and never completes.
Business Scenario: Engineering Change Management Released Product with product variants using Style Approximately 1,000 Engineering Versions for some products Engineering Versions have associated BOMs
Costing method: Standard Cost Process being executed:
BOM Cost Roll-Up / Price Calculation Issue: When we initiate the BOM Cost Roll-Up to calculate the Standard Cost for a product with a large number of Engineering Versions and BOMs, the price calculation does not complete. The process continues running without producing the expected cost calculation result. This appears to be related to the volume/number of Engineering Versions and associated product variants/BOMs.
Expected Result: The BOM Cost Roll-Up should complete successfully and calculate the Standard Cost for the applicable product variants/Engineering Versions within a reasonable amount of time. Actual Result: The price calculation continues running indefinitely and does not complete.
Whereas Item with less than 300 Engineering version cost roll up does not ave any issues.
