Minimum PO amount per Vendor

Hello,

We're using aX 2012 R3.   I'm looking for a way to specify a minimum PO amount per Vendor.  I can't find it.

This is not a product specific amount or a minimum amount for a purchase agreement with the vendor.  We're only looking to tell AX not to accept confirmation of PO below amount $X for Vendor "ABC" because this vendor will not process or accept a PO below that threshold.

Is there a place where this information can be setup?

Thanks in advance.

I think you've already identified that, in standard AX, for setting minimum order values, you have to use Purchase agreement functionality (and the PO must 'call-off' from a purchase agreement).

    Hi Denis,

I have a same requirement as you. Our client is not going to use Purchase Agreements.

I created a field in VendTable to store the minimum order Amount for each vendor.

But not sure where can i put the validation code  on Confirmation. Can you please guide. Thanks.

    Hi Iamv,

Add your validation code in the following method:

    \Classes\PurchPurchOrderJournalPost\checkBeforePostingLine

Please let me know if you have further queries.

    Thanks,

    Baber.

    Hi Baber,

    Thanks for your reply.

Is there any standard method to get total order amount or i need to get it from using select query like below.

    select sum(lineamount) from purchline where purchline.purchid = purchtable.purchid;

    Hi Iamv,

If you check createJournalHeader method of PurchPurchOrderJournalCreate class, you will get an idea of how purchase totals are calculated. Basically it used PurchTotals class. Have a look and you will get some clue.

    Thanks,

    Baber.

    Hi Baber,

I used PurchTotals.purchbalance method. seems working fine.

    Hi Iamv,

Totalbalance method of which class you used. Can you please verify the answer, so that it can help others having the same query as yours.

    Thanks,

    Baber.

    Hi Baber,

I can't verify as i haven't initiated the discussion.  I can just like it.
