Display method on form grid view

I'm new to AX development and I am asking for some advice.

I have a form with a grid view and I can use a display method from one of the data source tables on it as a control on it. My question is can this control be added/removed by the user when they customise the form like they would if they wanted to add a field from the datasource?

Thanks for clarifying. Can i dynamically show/hide this control based on a condition?

Or even maybe a checkbox somewhere on the form?

Its a requirement for a particular company within our business and this form is used by ALL companies. I could just add the control and then get the companies to each hide it if they dont want to see it but i would rather do something a bit more dynamic.

Hi Andrew,

A display or edit method cannot be added using the personalization option. If the control is present on the form design, it is possible to hide them.
