How to restrict the select of fields that are not needed in SQL executed in x++

SQL executed in x++ will select fields that are not needed.
Is there any way to limit this for better performance?

    I think I've already covered it in your previous thread, limited fields of data sources in form from query.

    I think you can create a best practice rule to to prevent the use of Query/Select statements without fields needed
     
    e.g.
    select * from SalesTable Where SalesId = ''
