Hello,
is it possible to mange user rights within business central by importing / synchronizing user groups from a local active directory into business central so that user rights management can be done on user group level.
I want to manage my users within active directory and adding them to specific active directory user groups, e.g. switching a user from one user group to another. This change should also be recognized within business central and so other user rights based on the user group are assigned in business central.
Is this possible oder not? I have a customer which used this within Navision 2017 and now is upgrading to Business Central 18.
Regards Thomas
Sorry, i was linking to the newest doc.
But you do not need Azure AD and BC 19.
You can use your local AD and earlier versions of BC / Dynamics NAV.
In principal you just add your AD group instead of the individual users in your user table and permission tables.
I was trying to find an older version of the doc, but no luck so far. I will update here when i find it.
Hi Inge,
thanks for your quick reply.
So this feature needs Business Central 19 and an Azure Active Directory, right?
Regards
Thomas
Yes that is possible. You can read more about it here:
