Smartlist in GP 2016

Hi,

We have recently upgraded our production environment in GP 2016 from GP2010R2.
It has been observed that after upgrading smartlist pane has been squeezed, as in earlier version we have different tabs in Smartlist like 'Additional Smartlist, Analytical Accounting, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting' but after up-gradation, none of these exist.

Any idea how to activate all missing folders in Samrtlist builder.

As I can access in Transactions, Cards, Inquiry Menus for all these modules.

Regards.

Hope you are having a wonderful day Irfan -

There was an earlier post that went through a lot potential fixes for a similar problem. In the end it turned out to be something simple.

In SmartList Options you can check what fields are active for your * (asterisk) smartlist. If there are no fields marked for the specific smartlist, it wouldn't show in smartlist.

The issue you are having could be related to Dynamics GP Registration keys.

Open the Registration windows in both GP versions and compare the modules listed in these windows

Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Setup > System

    Jorge, Thanks for reply.

I have checked, registration of product is not an issue.

Do you have SmartList Builder? If you do, can you see in SmartList Buider the 'missing' SmartList?

    Hi Irfan,

If SmartList Builder is installed and that you still have access to your GP2010 environnement, could you simply Export your SLB from the older GP to import them in the new one ? If Builder is installed, you should have access to Ms Dynamics GP >> Tools >> Smartlist Builder >> Export / Import.

    Hope it helps,

    Ifran,

There are a few things I can think of that may help. In no particular order.

    1. Check SmartList Security Role/Task Setup - http://redbeardblogging.blogspot.com/2014/10/smartlist-security-setup.html

    2. Try Starting GP with elevated permissions

    3. Check the language settings - http://www.digitalcitizen.life/changing-display-language-used-non-unicode-programs

    4. Go Tools>>Utilities>>Project>>Service Utilities>>Add to SmartList to populate the Field Service SmartList.

Try these one at a time, so you know which if any had the effect you were looking for.

Thank you all for your feedback.

Infact we have to install Smartlist Builder, as it was gone in GP2016. Once I download SLB from e-one solutions, my all folders are activated and available.

    Kind Regards.

I have same issue. could you pls. show the steps which you are taken to activate?

Beginning with R2 for Dynamics GP 2013, SmartList Builder (which includes the Navigation List, Excel Report and Drillback builders) went back to eOne for ownership and support.

This is why it is no longer available in the list of additional modules you can install for Dynamics GP like it was in prior versions.

You'll need to get SmartList Builder from eOne if you don't already have it and install and activate it accordingly.

    Thank you,
