Help viewing underlying records from a system dashboard

Posted on by 285

Hello,

I'm having a few dashboard issues, I have created a system dashboard using a combination of system views and charts which I also craeted. I have publised the changes, when I view the dashboard from the front end the chart shows correctly and when I click on the button to view the underlying data (the icon from the dashboard 'view the records that are used to generate the chart' ) the correct records show.

My colleague can view the dashboard from the front end also and the chart appears and shows the correct information e.g. account records that the user created, but when she clicks on the button 'view the records that are used to generate the chart' the records displayed are not limited to only the records that she created (as in the records displayed do not corresponed with the chart at all, the view which appears also is not the correct view that I see when I view the underlying data).  I'm wondering why it works for me but not for others, prehaps there is a step that I need to do to the system view so that users can see the correct data, any direction would be appreciated?

Thanks

Spaz

just to give a more accurate picture, it appears users as well as myself do not see the records which correspond to the chart, when we click on ‘view the records which were used to generate the chart’ the record view displayed is the accounts out of the box default view eg. ‘My active accounts’ (I also see this view as well) the view I created for the chart is not listed  as an option so unable to even select it. In the backend after I had created everything I clicked on ‘Publish All’ I would expect the system view to show and I be checked and the system view is ‘Active’ I’m assuming it’s the system view that has the problem as the dashboard and the chart work ok.

    Hi Spaz,

Are you and your colleague viewing the exact same Dashboard from the same browser? If you can provide screenshots of the Dashboards and views that will assist us in diagnosing the problem.
