Hi All,

In D365, developed a new data entity , build and synchronization completely successfully.

Facing an error below when I try to open data entity in Visual studio.

microsoft.dynamics.AX.Metadata.metamodel.Ax Data Entity View.common was not found.

Please help with suggestions.

Hello Chris,

Microsoft has fixed the issue in PU 37/10.0.13 .

As a workaround , try the below resolution:

Clean Visual Studio cache:

1. Close Visual Studio (ensure devenv.exe is not present in the Task Manager)

2. Delete the %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\14.0\ComponentModelCache directory

3. Restart Visual Studio.

Installed product version : 10.0.10 (10.0.420.10007)

Installed platform version : Update34 (7.0.5600.35524)

Hi Madhuri,

In my case, it's build 10.0.420.10019. I opened SalesOrderLineV2 entity code and started scrolling down. VS froze for ~1 minute with high CPU consumption (~90%) and after I got a couple of error windows. I have a feeling that it's CodeLens "feature".

Can you provide the version ( specific build version) you are seeing this issue on ?

We are not seeing this issue on base version of PU 34 and no known bugs .

Same story with me, looks like "new cool feature".

It also gives an error when you open standard data entities, and it depends on if there are any methods written, if you have two methods on your screen you will receive two errors. Looks like some code-parse bug

The same issue arises for every new data entity that I create and build successfully.

I suspect because of this, import fails

Hi,

I think I have the same kind of issue after updating to PU34. Is it a blocking issue for you? At least I just close this dialog and can continue work.
