Remove option to upload and download Template.

Hi..

Is there a way to hide the "Upload Template" and "Download Template" option under Create Word Template.

    Hi SharonP,

    Unfortunately, there is no way to hide these two buttons, but we can prevent users from uploading templates.

    The purpose of these two buttons is to allow users to upload and create Personal Word Templates. So if we don't give the user the privilege to create personal templates, then these two buttons are equivalent to useless.

    Edit security roles, under Business Management tab, remove the privilege of Create on the Personal Document Template.

    Note that the security roles are stacked on top of each other and take the highest privileges, which means that we need to remove the corresponding privileges from all security roles of the user.

    Then when the user is going to upload a personal word template, he/she will see an error.

    If the user cannot upload a template, then the "Download Template" button will not have any effect on D365.

    We don't have to hide them, we can remove the permission of the button for users to achieve the same purpose.
