Good morning. SQL Server 2008R2 is only supported for GP Version 10 on Service Pack 5 or greater. Update your server and client workstations to the latest Version 10 Service Pack and everything should work correctly.

If the GP version did not upgrade to SP5, will caused any effect of the database?

Before installing any Service Pack, all databases need to be upgraded in case of any issue. To use SQL Server 2008R2 on GP Version 10  it has to at least be on Service Pack 5. You will not be able to create a new company until it is updated.

I would suggest working with your GP Reseller if you are not comfortable installing this Service Pack.

Hi I got the same issue.  I installed GP 10 SP5, but could not find any trace other than in the windows installed updates that says "Dexterity shared components 10.0 (1) "  I on on SQL 2008 R2 Sp3 .

Is there something I have missed out?

Would really appreciate your input.  Thank you

Hi - found the solution to this - 2 pronged setup for sp5 - other than the setup.  2nd step for utilities and SQL dbs to be updated.

Hello, I am running into this issue and I setup SP5. I am running Micrsoft GP 10.0 and SQL server 2008 r2. What is meant by:

I am not following.... I simply dowloaded the service pack, set-up and still got the same error when running GP utilities.

    Please Help.

If you have applied SP5 to GP 10 and it applied successfully you will not receive this SQL version error in GP Utilities. If you need further assistance I would recommend contacting your partner or opening a support case.
