GP toolbox-Rockton System Lockout not working correctly

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

We had a System Maintenance Lockout and I used the GP toolbox from Rockton.

The system lockout was set with a starting time(x) and end time(y), but even after the end time(y), the system lockout was still actively locking users out of the system. I've read through the manuals and its supposed to enable used to be able to log-in after end time(y). Is there a fix for the system lockout to work as expected so that users can automatically be able to log in after time(y)?

Regards,

Mwalimu Phiri

I disabled the feature- Thank you Sean and Béat. I'll open a ticket with Rockton.

    Hi Mwalimu,

I've been using the Rockton GP Toolbox for many years, but honestly could never use the scheduled timeout function since it was introduced... it never works. So unless I'm missing something essential that I don't understand, or it is not very clear in the GUI, I've always used the direct lockout function.. and put 'sa' and my account on the excluded list.. This has always worked for me.

But open a ticket at Rockton, they should help you with this.

    Hi Mwalimu -

The only thing I could find on Rockton's knowledgebase was the following:

    https://www.rocktonsoftware.com/gp/resources/knowledge-base-item/lists/kb_gptoolbox/system-lockout-is-locking-out-'sa'-even-though-they-are-an-excluded-user

I would suggest opening a support case with them.
