eConnect error - Unable to obtain next note index importing Fixed Assets

"DOC1 ERROR: eConnect Sql procedure error codes returned: Error Number = 3231 Stored Procedure= taCreateAssetID Error Description = Unable to obtain the next note index.”

There are existing assets in the system and they already attempted to add the next one manually and then run the import but that did not work. Has anyone run across this before?

Thanks!

    Susan,

They actually are using the eConnect adaptor in Inetegration Manager. However, the link you sent resolved the issue because it pointed me to the SY01500 table which, for some reason, had the company number in the INTERID field and not the DB Name. As soon as we manually corrected the INTERID to the DB name, the integration ran successfully.

Thanks so much! It would have been a long time finding that one!

Okay, found the information you need.  Sorry about that.  Thought you were using SmartConnect or Integration Manager.  And I'm on the GP Forum, I have a feeling I'm seeing only part of your research that might be in GPUG.

Here is where you can get info on the next note index.

As I said, they tried putting an asset in manually and then attempted the import again. They also have several years worth of assets already in there.

You get this error when you are doing any fixed asset whether econnect or integration manager.  Go in and put in one asset the normal way and then do your import and you will be all set.  I am assuming that you have no assets in the system yet.
