IDM tool: How to sync AD groups that correlate with CRM security roles and business units

Dear Community,

I am looking for suggestions or solutions how to sync AD or Azure AD groups with Dynamics 365 security roles and business units

Is there a solution how to automate this kind of requirement or does every company need to implement an own solution for that?

This requirement is especially important for large sized businesses with hundreds and thousands of users. Who wants to manually assign and sync the roles and business units with information that is stored in AD groups for so many people?

    Not sure if it helps but how about using some keyword when user is created?

    The Title can be something like "marketing manager" which can determine the BU/Security Role? From there run a workflow with custom WFA to assign the BU/Security Role?

    Hi,

    thx for this idea. But this is good only for the initial creation of a user.

    For any further sync, I would still require a sync mechanism for this keyword attribute.

    It would be nice if the AD user attributes would be sync'ed with Dynamics automatically in a certain period or interval.
