Dear All,
I just got a request from my Audit that asking about the mechanic of D365 that when Users post then no one can't edit. By experience and system is "yes" but They would like to see an evident.
1. When we track about the data in a system we know that all evident that user key-in(Transaction Log) are in General Ledger>Inquires and Report>Audit Trail that all of a transaction who is a batch job will stamp by "admin".
2. More than that we know that all of GL>Inquires and report> voucher Transaction we will see all of Financial transaction and we can click Audit Trail to see log of this transaction.
3.When I check with my implementor We used to customize this form to show audit trail in a same page and change a create by to be posted by
So after that We export this document to be an excel to my audit and they have a lot of question that create by(post by) "Admin".
My question is
A. if we ignore transaction by admin all of transaction can identify who key-in for this transaction right?
B. if not Can you guide me how I can find a form or report that meet audit requirement?
Best Regards,
Thanakorn
Hi Thanakorn,
What is the auditor expecting? In my opinion the current behavior is correct. If something got posted by a batch job and this batch job was run as the Admin user, then the audit log has the Admin user as Created by or Posted by.
Entering the information for e.g. one order could have been done by 10 different persons. One initially creating the order and several others making adjustments.
Maybe you need to provide audit details on purchase order or vendor invoice approvals?
yes please,
for that forum are not at all, I want to know in case I deleted all of transaction are stamp by admin. All of the list are happen is a list that I can show audit to be an evident that proved all of transaction are create by whom right?
Because When I export this report and told them(Audit) on this subject. They raise this question to me but i'm not confident to answer them that why I raise this question in this community to confirm.
Thanakorn
Your question was already answered in previous post: community.dynamics.com/.../i-have-a-question-about-audit-trail-why-some-transaction-are-stamp-that-create-by-admin
Do you still need help?
