i tried every method(in my knowledge) to remove the access from there .By setting needed permission to manual and then giving controls to permissions and finally setting button to read access . it is not responding to either read or no access .I want to disable this button for a particular role .Please suggest something useful. Thanks in advance

    Hi,

Please check whether your user role has following privilege or duty. Also when you say you made the setting Neededpermission property and assigned the control, I assume

you are tried this at role level, if not give a try as this will be given top priority.

    Path: \Security\Roles\<RoleName>\Permissions\Forms

    Security Privilege name:BatchJobMaintain

    Label: Maintain batch jobs

    (or)

    Security Duty Name: SysServerSettingsMaintain

    Label:Maintain system settings.

    Hi Nishi,

You started correctly by setting the NeededPermission to manual as it is a common button without menu items specified.

Don't specify the control on privileges/roles which should not have access; only provide it to persons who needs the access. If a person has a role without and a role with access set on control level, then the user will be able to see and use the button. System administrator will always see it as they are bypassing all security.
