item lookup form customization

Hi, I have modifed the IV_Item_Number_Lookup window to show item code and item description instead of short description. however, after i manage to change the field in window scrolling form, the label and sorting in the form is still based on short description and not the shown item description.

can anybody help me on this?

You will have to default the DDL sorting option by Item Description, then run the field script. You can accomplish this with a WindowAfterOpen event in VBA.
