Does anyone know what solution I can use with Dynamics GP to allow electronic signatures to be added to Purchase Orders and Cheques?

Hello,

Are you referring to an electronic signature for auditing purposes? (If so Audit Microsoft Dynamics GP Data Changes | RocktonSoftware.)

If you are referring to having a signature printed on the document, Payment Hub for Microsoft Dynamics GP (mekorma.com) can handle secure check signatures.

I am going to take "signature capture" meaning you want to have a signature appear on the printed/e-mailed document.

If processes allow, GP Report Writer (or Word Templates) can handle this by adding this via Report Writer or Word Templates. Once you have the signature captured in an image file (that follows the requirements of the reporting tool you choose), you would add that signature to the document.

[Processes usually involve limitations/security be placed on how signatures are used on documents. You'll need to evaluate what is allowable for your project]

I'm not being very clear and I apologize. When we sell (construction supplies), we have the customer sign the sales invoice, or when we deliver product to a construction site, we have the customer sign the sales invoice saying they accepted delivery. This is where we would like to have the customer use an electronic handheld device to sign their name. Not unlike we all do when we accept a package from a delivery company. Do you have a solution for this? Thank you!

Now I (think I) understand. This is not core GP functionality. There are some delivery add-ins to GP that may allow for this but I don't personally have any experience with any that do.

A few things I can think of:

-If you are already integrating GP with a handheld device, ask your integrating partner about options.

-A quick search on the internet returns this tool but it is more internet-based (I'm thinking PDF signature type tool) than what you are asking for: www.signnow.com/.../microsoft-dynamics-gp

Hopefully someone will respond who has experience with this need.
