Dynamics 365 - CRM Portal Add-on - Customer Self Service

When users register and sign up on the customer self-service portal the created contact record in CRM will have SYSTEM user as the owner.

Is it possible to change that behavior? I would like to set a dedicated admin user as the owner of all records created in CRM through the portal addon instead of the SYSTEM user.

Then there is a workflow called "ADX Sign Up Email". By default the create email action contains a "Domain Administrator" user in the "From" field". I cannot find this user in my system and therefore cannot reactivate the workflow again, instead I will have to replace that user. Is this a bug?

    You would have to workflow/plugin the reassignment to the desired user. The service account that runs the portal is simply a credential not unlike any other crm user expect that it has special purpose.

    The sign up email from address is something that would presumably need to be changed anyway as it is unlikely to have a valid email for your organization. Most customers have in the past changed this to use a record with support@mycompany.com or donotreply@company.com. With that in mind it's not something that would be considered a bug but simply a required configuration.

    thanks for your response!

    I already had created a workflow for the reassignment, but was not sure if thats the common way to go. But thanks for approving that approach.

    As for the sign up email I agree with you and it makes totally sense. Probably a queue would be the right way to configure that.

    Hi,

    Tenfold just recently added MS office 365 to their integrations list.
