Navigation Menu changes after IFrame loads

Hi,

I have an IFrame in the task page which loads the parent form (another entity) inside it. The source of the IFrame is set using JavaScript during OnLoad on Task page. Initially on task page load, the navigation menu buttons are of the task entity. But when the parent entity's page gets loaded inside the IFrame, the navigation buttons of the task page gets changed to the buttons related to the parent entity. We want the buttons to remain as it is (Task menu buttons). Any idea how it can be done?

i am afraid not - this is the reason why it is not supported and documented as such

We have a lot of javascript validations on the form as well.. So QuickView won't help. Is there any way to change back the navigation buttons?

Hello,

Loading a form within an IFrame on another form is not supported, please see https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/developer/use-iframe-and-web-resource-controls-on-a-form. Probably the behavior you are facing is due to this.

You should use a Quick View form for this task : docs.microsoft.com/.../create-edit-quick-view-forms
